Ingredients
For the Steak
- 2 ribeye steak
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp pepper
- 1 tbsp garlic herb seasoning
- 1 tbsp seasoned salt
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 sprig thyme (fresh)
- 1 cloves garlic
For the Pasta
- 1/2 onion (diced)
- 1 tbsp garlic (minced)
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup parmesan cheese
- 1 box rigatoni pasta
Method
- 1
Season steaks generously on both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, pepper, garlic herb seasoning, and seasoned salt. Meanwhile, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil, add the rigatoni, and cook until al dente according to package directions; drain and set aside.
- 2
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large pan over high heat until just smoking. Sear the steaks on both sides until they reach your desired doneness, then add a knob of butter, the fresh thyme sprigs, and whole garlic cloves to the pan and baste the steaks with the melted butter for 2–3 minutes. Remove the steaks and let them rest for at least 5 minutes.
- 3
In the same pan over medium heat, melt another knob of butter and sauté the diced onion and minced garlic until softened and fragrant, about 3–4 minutes. Pour in the heavy cream and season with the same spice blend used on the steak. Stir in the parmesan cheese and simmer, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens, about 5 minutes.

Add the drained rigatoni to the sauce and toss until every piece is well coated. Slice the rested steak against the grain and arrange it on top of the pasta. Garnish with additional fresh herbs if desired and serve immediately.
Notes
Few dinners feel as indulgent as a perfectly seared ribeye paired with a velvety, garlic-kissed parmesan cream sauce clinging to every ridge of tender rigatoni. The rich, buttery crust on the steak — kissed with fresh thyme and roasted garlic — makes this a meal that feels like a steakhouse experience right in your own kitchen. Whether it's a romantic dinner for two or a well-deserved weeknight treat, this dish delivers pure, unapologetic comfort on every plate.
